#RebuildRob Health

By on January 19, 2017

Following being Off work with depression for the last two and half months, I returned to work for the first time today (Thursday 19th Jan) it took so much effort to re-enter work and break that mental barrier that I had built up however I felt it was time to try to get back to some normality.

Depression to me is described as ‘going down a Rabbit hole’ where everything is starting to close in on me and starting to feel really small where everything is large and I start to feel a tad claustrophobic, even though I’ve never suffered from claustrophobia, I’d associate the same feelings as how I was feeling.

I know Mental Health will be an ongoing battle with me going forward and I will do everything in my power to keep my mental health at the forefront of everything I am doing and to do that I will be prioritising my Physical health at the same time and get into a new Healthier (Mental and Physical) routine (Even though I am rubbish at Multi-tasking) its something, I will be working on going forward.

With all that said, I will be taking part in counselling and also looking for knowledge in this area through taking time to either read or listen to audio books in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and also Mindfulness etc. As at the end of the day Knowledge is Power.

Thanks for reading another addition to the Journey of #RebuildRob

Good luck throughout your treatment. I am bipolar and have been in and out of services since 14. It can be rough but it’s important to stay connected with others. That really helps. XX
